After saying our goodbyes on the Provo Temple grounds, the kids walked hand in hand to take Elder Jenson to the MTC. Our dropoff time was 12:55 pm today.
Before we dropped Tanner off, we found a secluded area underneath a large ponderosa pine to say our goodbyes to Tanner, bear our testimonies to him and sang "I hope they call me on a mission", "I Love to See the Temple" and "Families Can Be Together Forever". It was a powerful, spiritual, sacred time with just our family in the last 30 minutes before Tanner entered the MTC.
Until about a year ago, this used to say "Missionary Training Center"; however, it was causing too much hazard at this intersection, so they removed the sign and put in a flower garden. Can't come to the MTC and not have a photo in front of it!
Elder Campbell greeted Elder Jenson and helped him unload his luggage and began welcoming Elder Jenson to the MTC and helped him take his first steps into the MTC. Tanner was so happy and excited to finally begin his mission to serve the Lord and the Chilean people.
